Jerry Harrison gave an update on the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) on 3 October at UNEP-WCMC. 2013 is the year in which the IPBES work programme will be agreed, as will many of the key processes and procedures. Jerry’s presentation provided some IPBES basics for those not already familiar with the process, and also introduced key elements of the documents that will be presented to the IPBES Plenary meeting in December 2013, including the draft work programme.
