Code of Conduct

CCI strives to establish an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, as reflected in CCI’s values in the 2021-2030 Strategy. CCI meetings and events must be welcoming, safe, collaborative, supportive and productive for all participants, and all participants need to value the diversity of views, expertise, opinions, backgrounds, and experiences reflected within our community.

The CCI Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Task Team, established by CCI Council, has therefore drafted a CCI Code of Conduct (last updated 17 February 2025) to cover all CCI meetings and events.

Please note that this Code is still under review and will continue to evolve.

The CCI EDI Task Team comprises: David Gibbons (Interim Executive Director, Cambridge Conservation Initiative), Melanie Heath (Senior Programme Director, TRAFFIC), Manaz Javaid (EDI Manager, Cambridge Judge Business School), Chris Sandbrook (Professor of Conservation and Society, Department of Geography, University of Cambridge), Juliet Vickery (CEO of the British Trust for Ornithology), Elizabeth Allen (Collaborations and Engagement Manager, Cambridge Conservation Initiative)
