Background
I have spent most of my life engaged in start up companies and organisations from being a founding partner of the Virgin Group to CENTEC (the Central London Training and Enterprise Council). My life in conservation has revolved around SRI (Save The Rhino International) of which I was a trustee for ten years and Chairman for five. I have served on a number of public bodies and not for profit organisations including the South Bank Centre, various school governing bodies, the government’s Creative Industry Task Force, the Rugby Portobello Trust and the North Kensington Task Force. My passions are Africa, the Arts and the Natural World.
“The bringing together of the University’s multi pronged conservation research with the work of the cluster of NGO’s that surround Cambridge in a single campus represents a once in a life time opportunity. An opportunity that will create a world leader in conservation research and its application“
