Background
I am a quantitative ecologist with a background in marine ecology. My work aims to bridge the gap between field observations, ecological theory, and conservation by using statistical and mathematical models to better understand the processes that shape the distribution and movements of animals, their foraging and migration behaviours, and their life-history strategies. At BTO I develop analysis frameworks for citizen science data and other research projects, and I provide advice on statistical techniques and survey design across the organisation and the wider conservation sector.
