Background
I am originally from Wellington, New Zealand, a location which stimulated my interest in the natural environment and its interaction with people. Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, studying the conservation of freshwater mussels. I previously conducted my Masters research on the coral reefs of Timor-Leste, which included assessing the impact of human populations on coral genetic diversity. I am broadly interested in ecological interactions, particularly mutualistic and parasitic associations, and the mediation between sustainable environmental exploitation and achieving conservation goals.
