Background
My research interests lie in conservation ecology, and my background is on the foraging ecology of marine top predators. I utilise biologging technology (TDR, GPS, Accelerometer, Animal-borne video cameras) and direct (Stomach content) and indirect (Stable isotopes) methods of dietary analysis to answer pure and applied questions. Fundamentally, these questions relate to the intra-specific (within species) and inter-specific (across species) interactions between organisms and their physical environment. I use these answers to provide advice and direction for governments, businesses and the scientific community, to conserve species and sustainably manage resources. I am an advocate of citizen science and believe in the public dissemination of research.
