Background

My research focusses on social and economic development, straddling topics related to the environment, health, agriculture, poverty, the causes and consequences of violence and the impact of development initiatives.
Current work includes a range of impact evaluations in Sierra Leone aimed at poverty alleviation and nature conservation in collaboration with Gola Forest Programme, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Across the River Transboundary Peacepark.
